Glimmingehus


 On our journey from Ystad to Karlskrona we decided to visit Glimmingehus. It is a medieval era castle and the best preserved one in Scandinavia.



We were very happy we took the time to spend a couple of hours going through the different parts of the place.

Karlskrona

 In 1998, Karlskrona was included on the UNESCO World Heritage list  because it is an exceptionally well preserved example of a European naval city. GunBritt and I spent a whole day exploring this beautiful coastal town. The sky was blue and the temperature pleasant.  We started off walking along the harbor to the Maritime museum.There we learned about how the old warships were built and what kind of weapons they used. So much information! This museum is worth a visit for sure.
