Ale stenar

Ale stenar Ale stenar is the largest and best preserved ship setting in Sweden.
The 59 stone boulders stand high on the Kåseberga ridge with a fantastic view of the sea.

The ship setting is about 70 meters long and 19 meters wide.
Each boulder weighs around 5 tonnes.
It was erected sometime between year 500- 1000.

After the visit to this fantastic place we had a typical lunch meal for this area: Fried herring with mashed potatoes.
